Pantoum of a Sleeping Beauty

She couldn’t even whisper

In her eternal sleep

Had to wait ‘till he kissed her

Lovely ladies don’t peep

In her eternal sleep

She could be listened to

Lovely ladies don’t peep

But ladies have a view

She could be listened to

Her prince would ignore

But ladies have a view

She wished to roar

Her prince would ignore

Had to wait ‘till he kissed her

She wished to roar

She couldn’t even whisper
