Pandora

Location

They say your eyes,

When given time,

Become accustomed

To the night.

Though dark and eerie

One great shadow,

Night penetrated

Glows to light.

It is a lie.

I look round,

And all I know -

Darkness.

Snuff a candle,

Wick dost glow.

A moment after -

Lightless.

No light remains,

To ease the dark;

No brightly burning

Speck.

And I am wrapped,

A prisoner,

A nightly terrors’

Wreck.

Come someone,

With a light,

A flicker is all

I seek.

I will follow

Wherever ist seen

I will go toward -

So weak.
