Paint My Way

If only I had an eraser to melt sketches away with friction

Erase the lines that once held your face

With a delicate stroke, I'd tuck your hair behind your ear

And paint a kiss on your cheek

I'd dabble in watercolors to match your personality....

Bland and pale compared to vibrant others

I was abstract, you were reform

I tried ceaselessly to fit your frame, paint in the lines and draw the dots

But I finally realized I was a creation of my own
