Pain

Pain

The pain is there to inspire you.

The throbbing, tenderness of your knees from learning to walk

Your tingling cheek after being slapped by your mother

The fresh blood snaking down your leg from the dog next door

The pain is there to inspire you.

The pain is there for you to learn.

The weight in your chest, teaching you guilt

The sweet tears of a broken heart

The deep ache in your soul from the sharp words

The pain is there for you to learn.

The pain is there for you to grow.

The pain inspires you to learn

The pain motivates every thought

It pushes you to your limits.

The pain is there for you to grow.

The pain is there for a reason.
