Outside Looking In
Location
Behind the wall,
Behind the door,
Through the window,
Through the crack,
Laughter's heard,
I can see,
But I am not included.
Holding off,
Standing back,
To be alone,
To be ignored,
to have friends,
but still by myself.
To be the fly the hand will smash.
I watch and wait,
to be included.
Only to be on the outside looking in.
