The Outbreak

It all started with a cough
And people's lives became miserable and rough
It got worse and worse through the night
And our only hope is to stay with our loved ones and hold them tight

People standing long queues
Empty shelves like the streets and classrooms, people panic
The sound of chaos, people busily buying food
Spending time with families, trying to lighten up the mood
The outbreak has become a threat
The poor would lie hopelessly without anything to eat

People standing 1m apart
When they see the stock getting finished, world war lll is about to start
Feeling as if the virus is about to attack
Feeling the heart beating, the heaviness in the chest
And just want to rest

Counting days through this lockdown
And feeling depressed and down
Wondering how many died and how many will die

Oh,God what have we done to deserve this?
God wants to silence the noise and bring peace to us
He wants to meet us in the middle of our hopelessness

As we lay wide awake
Tossing and turning with our minds buzzing with fear
Feeling like a haunted house, this feelings and demons are here to stay
Feeling lonely like a house on a tall hill
And praying not to get ill

A tremendous increase in the cases of death
Is this the end of Earth?
All we can do is to stay home and pray
Hope for a better tomorrow
As time goes by it'll get easier,of that i am sure of
This too shall pass
