Our Duty to Love

I see as time grows near
You never were my love
You could never be here

We fill the air with gay sounds
We feast until the mornings sun
And here is where we are bound

It was during first light
I first saw you come
This is when our love took flight

Lips so soft and sweet
Our passions heave
Late night under sheet

At your death I was finally free
I would never have to see you again
For I never truly loved thee
