Open Your Heart (Lilies)

Thu, 07/31/2014 - 16:31 -- patln3
Open your heart to me, my dear,
Don't let emotion hide.
I want to see,
You're a mystery,
Please let me inside.

Like the Lily, blooming in spring,
Gives fragrance to the air,
The love and happiness that you bring,
No other can compare.

When the crabgrass grows,
And the bud does not,
I grow, more unsure,
If that blooming Lily I once sought,
Was ever really there--

A flower's fragrance is for all,
But a yours, dear, is for few,
Your secret Lily, quiet and small,
Is real, beautiful, true.
This is the real you--

Open your heart to me, my dear.
Open your heart to me.
