Open-mind

 

Romans 8:5 

5 For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit

 

The channel of an open mind can experience to receive the truth

from listening to preaching ... or as God’s children see.

Some truth is first received ... through our intellect

before it reaches the spirit ... where it gets proved to be.

 

If our mind is full of prejudice ... the truth will not enter in.

If a mind is closed ... complete darkness resides inside.

The truth will not force a way in ... what has light to do with darkness?

Only God can help there ... and that ought to give us a fright.

 

An open mind, however ... is a living entity.

It breathes life itself ... and sees opportunity.

Hope is there available ... and help is by its side.

It is like a gift from Heaven ... a peek into Eternity.

 

An open mind lets in the truth ... so the Spirit can illuminate.

So it renders truth profitable ... to be guided by through life.

So influence from the outside ... has to be digested

and then properly classified ... to prevent inner strife.

 

The thought is the seed of action ... carelessness here leads to sin.

Our thoughts need regulation ... and never should run wild.

The question is, however: ... “Do questions originate inside?”

Are some planted from the outside ... to check controls on file?

 

We can control, however ... when darkness wants to enter

Prevent it from coming in ... through the door of our heart.

We never then should reason ... not even get involved

for it is not even part of us ... just let Jesus do His part.
