For a The One Who Is My Disaster

If disaster had a name
It would be Us
If chaos had a face
It would be ours

Like swirling tornados that dance
To their own strumming beat
I am not bitter and
I do not resent

Fate has a funny way
Of throwing people together
Night and day
Clashing harmony

We grate on
The ears of the earth
Tearing down walls
Like a hammer blow

We crash through barriers
We forget our own
Building a tower
By starting at the top

If disaster had a name
It would be Us
If chaos had a face
It would be ours

You be my light
I'll be your night
Our wings will touch
Hurricanes will form

We are disaster
We are chaos
But more than that
We are love
