One By One

One by one

Count as they go

There they go

You are still here

Look at them leave.

Now by two by two,

Somehow you are still here.

Three by three

Next, they start to go.

Everyone is now gone.

Little by little,

Everything falls apart.

Chunks by chunks

Food goes.

Somehow you are still here.

The pink heart

Still hanging on my neck.

Reminds me that you have here.

I have three words for you.

Three little words.

Three words that will change you.

I love you.

Everything is gone.

Food, water, people.

Yet you are still here.

That pink heart that I hold on.

Knowing that you are are here.

"I love you too."

Is all I need.

One by one.

Two by two.

Three by three.

Four by four.

Everything is gone.

Except for you.

You are the only reason.

Thank you.
