One Nation

one nation under god has been flawed since creatuin

discrimination promoted and prompted since the dawn of the nations history

differences frowned upon, conformity underlying the wants of those in power

one nation torn in two

slavery

war

the fight for civil rights, the fight for womens rights

the fight for all rights besides those of wealthy white men

we hold these truths to be self evident that no one was created equal

white men born and bred with the upper hand

women still makiing 75 cents to every mans dollar

african american women making even less

white men created their idea of a perfect nation, leaving the rest to suffer

we need to become a nation where equality is no longer repressed but accepted and respected

its time that we are a nation where women arent afraid to leave their own homes

especially at night

considering the staggering sexual assualt rate against women that never seems to falter

a nation where we can truly be one instead of individual counterparts

the north against the south

black against white

wealthy against poor

men against women

no longer will those divides be in place, rather, fear will be driven out and defeated

one nation where comfort can be found in anyone and any human existence is understood and respected

the arrogance found in those who conform will be absent, those who stand out and refuse to be silenced will finally get what they deserve

the right to a peaceful existence should no longer be available only to the white male but should be open to all,

as it should have been since the nations creation,

not just a brotherhood, but a brotherhood and sisterhood.
