One Meal Does Not Make a Fat Man

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 11:27 -- mrHenny

The nights are filled with tremors, growing ever scary and bigger

The troubles and fears cloud what was once good

After hours the demon flees your brain, where it once stood

As you awaken from the window’s light glimmer.

Pain splinters your mind, like axe to wood

Like the day before, you observe breakfast simmer

Unmethodically, however, you stop to consider

If your prison in life is misunderstood.

Motivation has vanished, and defeat is present

Too many times have you mustered to try

Little success yet excessive failures, you feel as though your fate is tied.

But like a match in the dark, success is luminescent

And the flame must grow before it dies

The light shines as bright as your will’s extent

For concede is self-assented

And giving in to the burn will soon end the light.

It is a willful desire to bite into your meal

And give fuel for today’s ambitions

You must evaluate your own intentions

Rather than start a day with time to kill.

Take advantage of what is in your position

Maximize the potential of your ordeal

Give effort to work, learn, and heal

And dedicate yourself to Ascension.

After meal one, you must keep eating

You see the alternative in your routine life

After a setback, do not concede to the strife

Then when the drum sounds good just keep beating

Let the rhythm of victory fuel more drive

This must sound better than conceding

You’ll begin to hear the demons leaving

For your fire is now too big to fight.

In order to continue growth:

After you eat, choose and pave a plan

This next road forges child into man

Comfort or victory? You cannot have both

If you seek Ascension, eat as much as you can

Trust yourself, no longer needing hope

Swear discipline and grind as an eternal oath

For one meal does not make a fat man.
