One Life At a Time
Location
The most loving people in the world: children
The ugliest, deadliest, and most painful disease: cancer
So why is it that pediatric oncologists even exist?
Because cancer in children is a legitimate thing
We can sit here and talk about how this is unfair
But instead I chose to make it a career
They fight for their lives every single second
One more day is all they're praying for
The saying "Tomorrow's never promised"
becomes more than 3 meaningless words
Blessed with my healthy body, how can I give back?
I always knew saving lives was for me
But it become much more real when I settled on oncology
One life
If I save ONE life, then my own life has been successful
Thats one less family to watch their child be lowered 6 feet
Pounds of heartbreak, tears, and agony
Gone. Washed away.
It may be tough for me to get there
But why would I complain about tough when I'm healhy, living, and breathing?
Working among the strongest children out there, you can not be weak.
My full mind, heart, and soul is in this field.
Every ounce of my being wants to be a pediatric oncologist
The ugliest thing should not take over the most beautiful thing
I want to find the cure for cancer.
