Another day, wake up and perform.

Sun rays and brain waves.

The memory of sweet Earth, dim.

The feeling of rough sand, barely grating.

Caress this moment like the bitter end, no one knows it is.

The end is near, all flustered. All brought to life by momentary panic.

Bugs outside the window. My neighbor saunters. Life continues.

How long?

When is it coming?

Stifling silence. Another tremor.

Floors shift, chairs shuffle. Fish are caught and released. Stocks traded, dogs chased.

Focus on the memory.

Cones and rods are colliding, photons blinding like darkness.

I remember the sounds and the thoughts.

Giant waves that make the thoughts irrelevant.

The feeling of conquering, and of being small.
