One Job?

Sun, 03/23/2014 - 00:08 -- missv

Did I really only have one job?

Because as a daughter, it is my job to honor my mother and my father.

As a little sister, it is my job to run to my older sister for personal help.

As a big sister, it is my job to set an example for my two little sisters.

As a student, it is my job to make sure that I am on the right track in my education.

Don't tell me this is only one job.

This is more than a job,

this is what my life functions through.

I honor because it's like my life depends on it

run for help because it's like my life depends on it

and run on the right tracks because it's like my life depends on it.

But what exactly is my job?

What's my job as myself?

Well,

my job is to find out who I really am.

What am I when I'm not a daughter,

not a little sister,

not a big sister,

not a student,

and not even a friend.

My job is to find out who I am as Vida

because my identity is important in my life.
