One

It's just one bruise that you can see

It took just on fist to send her to the hospital

She'll give you just one mumbled excuse

You'll worry for one moment then move on

It took just one drink for his temper to flare

Just one of many nights of hell

But this was the one night she needs you the most

It took one man to drive her over the edge

It'll be the one funeral that shocks you the most because you thought her to be happy

She is one of the many women who couldn't find help

It could have ended with just one voice

She only needed one person to save her

One act of kindness could have kept her alive

Her's is one more life cut short by abuse
