That Old Rock n' Roll

Her heart was there

Her mind was absent

She hit the gas and blasted

that sweet old tune, the one we know.

She blasted that old rock n' roll.

Yeah she was runnin

Runnin from what you ask?

Running from her past.

Yeah she stomped her

and banged her fist.

To that sweet old tune, the one we know.

She blasted that old rock n' roll

Though she was torn in two

had no place to go

She kept her head up high

and embraced her wild side.

She knew she was no perfect daughter

She knew that white gown would have to wait.

Call her a fool

but she's got more guts

then any old rock n' roll tune.
