Old Friend

Missing someone, I remember her
The one with the wise advise, to keep me out of trouble
And spontaneous mind, for those singular moments
The one who’ll make me laugh at sever times

The family I got to choose, and never asked to leave
That very good friend that took me so long to find
That special person I had to meet and all the memories we had to have
Squandering classes for a good talk, or laughing at any time
All those moments that made the time of our lives
To that friend and those memories
Today I say goodbye.

If you were here, we’d talk and not just speak
We’d listen and not just hear
Discover the fun inside of our minds
And see how alike we are,
But how different at the same time
If you were here, we’d make that same old thing that never got dull.

There was no beginning for this
We, and the rest of us were raised together
Some of them left and some others came
But you were always there
We were bound by the memories we made
And year after year you became my best friend

You were the light that showed me the way
And those cloudy memories I will never forget
Without you I just settled in solitude

If just you were here, you’d advise me what to do
As careful as a mother would be to his child
And everything would stop being so dark

Old friend, I can’t believe you have forgotten me.
