OH SWEET AMERICA

America stands up for its own but still woman and children stand alone

a man has served our country but yet lays in the streets in search of a home

oh sweet America land of the free

In search of a change and stand here with no means

my eyes cry out hurt and my peoples hearts being put six feet under in the dirt

Do you anderstand or even see my hurt

Oh sweet America

Im afraid of where I was born afraid of being returned to a place I was not born

history going down the same path and life taking on the same path

sometimes I wonder what does America truly have

not money not power but people of different colors who just separate each other

scared to walk outside and imagine things from the other side

oh sweet America?

how sweet are you really?

yes great baked goods and sweet candy for the young but what about our nation

Are we truly one?

our nation hasn't won

the wrong continues to build and stupidity is our only shield

Tell me AMERICA how am I truly supposed to feel

seems as though everything is repeating I wonder if the same people will be put back in the field I'm tired of the tears and young people with so many fears

I feel I stand alone in this big headache of a world everyday there's something new and nothing good that will make me feel like America is great again

or even if it ever was one day I'll walk the streets and be able to be proud of our nation and what it has done

for rich or for poor we stand alone even in our families war

I dream I speak I stand and I seek but what does America really stand for

who am I to stand for ?

OH SWEET AMERICA!!!
