Ode to the Theater

The lights and stage are blinding
My heartbeat like a drum
The sound is overwhelming
And my cheeks are red as plumsThe laughter fills the entire building
As emotions are displayed
The fourth wall is almost never broken
And its never the same on tapeTheater has a special place
For people of all kinds
Like the old man whose wife has died
Or the little girl with no home base
