Friends ripped apart

Killed by a heartless enemy

Treated like prey

Shot like fish in a barrel

The war may be over

But the damage is done

His mind is forever changed

Altered

Programmed to see nothing but loss

A constant storm

Memories rumble like thunder

No way to forget

No way to escape

Trapped within

Like a caged animal

Destined to lash out

It seems simpler to end it all

Easier to pull the trigger

Bang!

As his troubled soul passes through the gates of Hell

He wonders if his last act

His final act was

One of a brave man

Or that of a coward.
