Ode to my Parents

When I am lonely,

Or need someone to talk to,

I know you are there.

You really try your best to understand;

We always come up with a solution.

You get mad at me,

I get mad at you,

But at the end of the day

I know it's because you care.

I know sometimes you worry about me;

I'll be just fine, though.

You know I'm stubborn,

You know I'm weird.

You know of my dreams,

You know of my fears,

Yet you stand by me each and every day,

You fight for me every step of the way;

You teach me things and give me good advice.

I know I may not say this enough, but

I really appreciate you. So much!
