An Ode to My Mind

I am staring at a piece of paper,

My brain quivers at the sight of my words and

My thoughts start spiraling and

I am lost in my mind.

My brain quivers at the sight of my words and

My pen taps against my palm and

I am lost in my mind

The voices are strong today.

My pen taps against my palm and

I can’t hear my own words out of my mouth because

The voices are strong today

The writings on the paper blur together.

I can’t hear my own words out of my mouth because

My brain is fighting itself and

The writings on the paper blur together.

My hand frantically taps my thigh.

My brain is fighting itself and

My thoughts start spiraling and

My hand frantically taps my thigh.

I am staring at a piece of paper.
