Ode to My Anxiety

Anxiety, you inspire me to write.

I hate the way you abstrusely frighten me,

Invading my mind day and through the night,

Always dreaming about the hope that some day

You’ll forbid yourself from me.
Let me compare you to a low clover?

You are more sub-scale, distress
And how do I hate you?
Oh let me tell you, Shall I count the ways.

I hate your silent humor, smile and eyes.

Thinking of your broken smile fills my days with Despise.

My hate for you is evasive.
Now I must stray with a double heart,

Remember my great words whilst we’re apart.
