Ode to a Dying White Rose

Dying White Rose

A beautiful white rose

with petals so bright.

She clings to the ground

hoping for life.

She's short of air;

She can not breathe;

But she knows she's about to leave.

She fights off the five headed dragon

with her mighty sword,

hoping she'll make it.

It removes her from its grasp

in an attempt to heal its wound.

A beautiful white rose

still clinging to the ground,

as it watches its petals flying around.

Poor white rose,

her petals are  not bright.

As the day darkens,

she lets life go.

Poor white rose,

You're drying out.
