Observing the flesh ...

Proverbs 5:11

11 And at the end of your life you will groan
when your flesh and your body are wasted away.

Flesh

Observing the flesh … life is like a vapor

Here one day … and then it’s gone

Searching for purpose … questioning motive

Hanging on to time … in search for the morning sun

Daily chores get done … by the keepers of the clinging

When we depart however … do we leave work behind?

Can we not accept to be … failing temporal beings?

And death seems not real to the flesh … and acts so blind?

As long as there is breath … and some consciousness

The flesh redeems its power … who knows from where?

Is it mental evaluation … or psychological weariness?

Talking about the “wish of death” as a solution under stress?

Not knowing what to wish for … some remarks are made

It seems that by instinct … we’ll hang on to existence

Is not what is mostly prayed … for the flesh’s health update

So to be delivered through perseverance … quickly in an instant?
