Obedience ... very self

1 Samuel 15:22 22 Then Samuel said,“Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as He does in obedience?
Certainly, obedience is better than sacrifice;
paying attention is better than the fat of rams.
Very self “I’m born again”

What does it mean: “Reception of a new Spirit?”

“Receiving a new heart ... a new master in my “new” life?”

My will should be obedient ... all I have has been renewed

but my soul what will it be ... still a battlefield of my strife.

My mind needs to become ... like the mind of Christ.

This takes time I know ... for it is totally polluted.

It interprets only what it knows or what it perceives.

It is not dependable ... and that is well concluded.

The trouble is in what’s absorbed ... and seemingly keeps out.

Is this a matter of the will ... what it wants to understand?

My mind may be mislead ... by what is called emotion

or by interpretations of the past and rest on what is at hand.

Man’s will is one’s very self and controls all other organs.

Whoever controls his will ... owns that man in full.

If it resists the will of God ... it is as formidable an enemy

as you will ever find ... for that is where death rules.

The most vital part of the soul ... for sure must be the will.

For here is where decisions of life ... and death are made.

The mind can be wrong at times ... and emotions can implode

but the will is irreversible ... after the actions that it takes.

Serious consequences are involved ... either right or wrong.

Lasting effects will follow ... into directions not foreknown.

We will be held responsible ... and that is well understood.

Excuses are not accepted ... where ignorance is unknown.
