Not A Want

They say “you’re too young.”

 How do they know?

They can’t see what’s in our heads; they can’t understand what we feel.

It’s all cliché, it’s all true.

I know the difference between a want and a need.

I need you.

I need you because you understand me.

I need you because you know me more than I know myself.

I can’t hide what’s on my mind, you always know.

I need you for the look in your eyes when you say “I love you”.

I need you because no matter where I look I’ll never find anywhere else what your hugs do for me.

You don’t let me underestimate myself.

You make me want to better myself so I can be the man you deserve.

We were put together for a reason, to balance each other out.

I needed you when I thought I just needed myself.

I’ve never been so happy to be wrong.

I need you.

I love you.

Thank you for being mine.
