Not so small Thumbelina

Once upon a time

In a place far far away

Everything was perfect

Perfect size

Beautiful

Happiness

It just was

Then a flower appeared

Another beauty added

Another perfection

Nine months passed

Everything changed

This perfect flower

Held something not so perfect

A little person

Wrapped up like a little present

The not so perfect girl

Her name was Thumbelina

Everything changed

Thumbelina so small

Thumbelina not big

Thumbelina not perfect

Thumbelina so small

She knew this

The world was too big

To scary

To intimidating

Thumbelina held her own

Thumbelina so small

She did not grow in size

But she did grow

Thumbelina so small

She grew in her mind

She grew in her heart

She grew in her soul

Thumbelina so small

Not perfect

She tried her best

Did all she could do

With all that she was

Thumbelina so small

Captivating an open mind

Loving everything in sight

Grateful for every blessing

Living every moment to the fullest

Thumbelina so small

She conquered in knowledge

She conquered in love

She conquered in insight

She conquered in everything

Thumbelina so small

A not so small man approached

She caught his big eyes

Thumbelina so smart

She knew

Thumbelina so small

She grew in knowledge

She knew better

She kept her own

Thumbelina so small

Big man realized this

He tried his best to catch her eyes

Flowers

Chocolates

Presents

She kept her own

Thumbelina so small

She did not want small love

She wanted big love

Thumbelina so small

The big man realized this

He drank a potion

Big man not so big

Thumbelina so small

Man not so big

Man fell in love

Thumbelina knew

Thumbelina so small

Thumbelina fell in love

Yet she still held her own

Thumbelina so small

In an even smaller world

World filled with

Smaller minds

Smaller hearts

Smaller souls

Thumbelina so small

She is free will

She is unconditional love

She is endless compassion

Thumbelina not so small

Thumbelina not so small

She held her own

She stayed true to herself

Thumbelina not so small

Thumbelina so small

Thumbelina not so small

Thumbelina not perfect

Thumbelina is perfect
