Not My Own

I am not my own.

I am my family,

I grow and change as they do.

They have taught me to be everything they are and everything I could ever be.

I am Alice,

Standing tall while only  5'1"

yelling louder so my voice is heard,

standing my ground against everything in my way.

I can get through all that you can throw at me.

I am Tammy.

Thinking things through,

Waiting and teaching,

Watching the world grow around me.

I can solve any problem you can give me.

I am Ron.

Strength and honor,

Cunning with a bit of humor,

Fatherly and Protective as a lion.

I am stronger than anything you can do to me.

I am Mike.

Holding on tight,

Living through painful things,

Never wavering.

I can stand up against anything you do to stop me.

I am Izabella.

Young and unsure,

Still free of the stresses of adulthood,

Joy everlasting.

I will smile no matter what you do.
