Not Falling Off a Cliff

If a voice whispers--
Doesn't the world seem bleak?
And if the future questions--
Where are the answers you seek?

But just remember, just think--
You're not flying off a cliff,
Not stuck in unending traffic--
Not strapped to railroads, stuck
Not facing a mountain lion (duck!)

Just know that life gets better,
Just know there's more to see--
The skies seem stormy now,
But storms don't last forever

For every down there's an upside waiting,
For every frown there's a smile waiting

It's easy to anger, and it's easy to hurt
But we're free to be kind, and we're free to be help

And isn't it awesome that we can offer a smile--
that no matter how dark or bright our world is,
we can make someone else's brighter?
