Not Coming Home

The angered crease left a reminder on her face

"Why are you talking to him? Stop smiling!"

His words haunted her but left a sweet taste

Every hit every yell went in her ears but weren't filing

Her throat was screaming from his hands

It was helpless and looked up to her

"Let go!"

He stared at her wet eyes

"Just love me as much as I love you."

She realized she was not coming home

Every kiss and touch so hostile

He wanted her in chains but on the outside only the best

She was fooled and pulled to the lie

Who would have though it was all a test

Daddy's little girl now grown and gone

Leaving his arms and entering the haunted ones

Noone knew she was not coming home

Stop the violence stop the hatred

Learn to love and respect we need nothing less

Save the girls

We need to come home
