Norms

What if I don’t want the ‘norm’ functions of society

What if I want to live everyday being what I want to be

What I want to think

See

Love

And preach

To be myself, is what I want

Not some constructed idea of what others want from me

Who cares if I’m a waitress, hair dresser, dental assistant, or doctor after high school

There is so much more than a career

A set in stone plan of what you want in life when you’re an adolescent

Will not lead you to your optimum happiness

I say

Be who you want

See what you want to see

Love what and who you want to

And preach whatever you think is appropriate for your mindset

And all in all

Live life to your happiest moment

If only I could think like how I ‘think’

And if only I could do what I write
