Nocturne
What is it you think of me,
dear darkness?
Am I worthy of your embrace?
I deprive myself of rest and wait
So I can learn to love
the rhythm of your song
the curve of your spine
the stillness of your heart
the chill of your touch
Am I worthy of that much?
Am I anything at all?
Whether we dance, guided by moonlight
Or I turn to ashes during the sun's rise
I will forever yearn for the night
This poem is about:
Me
Our world
