Nightingale

You tried to cage me

Tried to hostage me

So that I would be stuck with you

But your cage is breaking

My heart is retaken

You no longer have a prisoner

I am finally free

I don’t need you to be happy

I finally can see the stars in the sky

Hope, don’t die

I found freedom in the world

I am a nightingale

Free to roam the sky

I am a nightingale

My spirit won’t die

I am a nightingale

I will not be held down

I am a nightingale

I hear you cry for me

I don’t want to be in captivity

Your hold on me is broken

I will move on without you

I never wanted to doubt you

But you gave no reason to trust you

So, I must go

You were supposed to love me

But you only want me physically

Don’t exploit me for yourself

But I didn’t think of anything

When your song started to ring

In my ear, heavily, it was to hypnotize me

I must stay away to be free

I mustn’t hear your song

Your voice is so beautifully strong

I must go before you start your melody

You spoke of words of love

I don’t know this love you spoke of

Because you never shown it
