Do you remember the day you were born?

You were in mama’s arm in such a delicate form

Bright auburn eyes

soft brown hair

itty bitty fingers

and little ears

You make the world and I stop and stare

Never had I felt so excited and scared

As you stumbled and wobbled,

you took your first steps

then your first word

Now in this family, we don’t have riches, jewels or gold

but not to worry

He has brought you to a good home

we have each other

to learn, love, laugh and cry

welcome kiddo

He has brought you to a good home
