I have been known to be an irritant
to friends and family(the few that I see).
Right brain always fishing,
a puzzle to twist, a code to crack.

To friends and family(the few that I see)
I offer all the wrong help:
a puzzle to twist, a code to crack.
What must they think I mean?

I offer all the wrong help,
disintegrating their serial miseries.
What must they think I mean?
I check their homework.

Disintegrating their serial miseries,
they protest with personal computation.
I check their homework
like they asked for it.

They protest with personal computation,
like I wish that I could do--
like they asked for it.
My solution is even easier,

like I wish that I could do,
when I hear an intriguing complaint.
My solution is even easier:
I just smile and nod and listen.

When I hear an intriguing complaint,
left brain always swelling,
I just smile and nod and listen--
known to be an irritant mostly in my mind.
