My bare feet felt frigid,
as they squished the wet ground.
The dark emerald grass was damp
and powerless against me.
The blades of grass bent and plummeted
into the cushiony soil, as my feet descended upon them.
My feet were becoming numb
from the icy blanket of mist.
The frigidness of the misty grass
started to travel up my legs and
through the rest of my body.
Goose bumps started appearing on my
arms and legs.
I started dashing across the open field.
I could feel sharp, stinging pains
of my bare feet against the cold ground.
I now realized that the grass did
have a defense against me: frigid water.
