Myself

Mon, 09/08/2014 - 12:16 -- smdillo

On the outside

An expectation of a certain presentation

Overwhelming uncertainty presents

I see a door

Into the room

Heavy curtains fall plenty

Unclear curiosity beckons

I walk past the curtains

There is light

Elegant qualities so eminent

Warm feelings reunite

I see myself in a chair

A reflection of my inner need for perfection

Reminding me of the intelligence inside

Reprimanding the outer vanity

I am my own worst critic.
