I can feel how numb my chest is

I feel so dark and sad and alone

But then she says "Hi" 

She tells me about her day

I tell her mine

She is so funny.

I do not feel sad and alone

The dark becomes light

My heart feels something

I feel grateful 

to have a friend

like you.
