My Surfboard

What many people think it just  a piece of equipment involved in the sport of surfing

But it is so much more than what the average eye sees

It has taught me the lessons of life that are known to be unteachable

I am so grateful for the smallest things that are taken for granted

The ocean has taught me that

And with out my surfboard I wouldn't be able to connect with the ocean the way I do

I've learned about life  on my surfboard

I've learned to look past the innocence of the object and understand the much deeper depths behind it

Three years ago, when I first purchased this board I had no idea the lessons I was about to be taught

I also had no idea how a five foot ten inches piece of fiberglass could make me fall in love with it
