My Souls definition (I am...Scholarship Slam)

Who am I you ask?

A question that may or may not be straightforward

A question I not yet have the answer to

Isn't  our lives revolved around figuring that out?

But I understand who I am

I am a not yet enlightened soul

Who I am isn't physical but spiritual

I am undefined

An unknown entity of this world

A life made by the hands of God by chance

Or maybe it wasn't by chance

Who I am goes through history and through my blood

My skin only a small hint of it

My eyes that holds these secrets but leave me blind

I believe I am many things

Intelligent, beautiful, compassionate, and brave

But who I am are not these words

I am a Negro

A child of God

A women of the future

A person

A change

I am simply me
