My Song

Location

Where do I belong?

Can you hear my song?

I’ve fallen so very far,

From those shining stars.

I learned to fly with you,

But still you never knew.

I now fly so low,

I’m fifty feet below.

I’m as cold as stone,

No matter where I roam,

I never feel at home.

I look to you for hope,

And always feel like a dope.

I look to the stars for light,

And find no delight.

I think I am alone,

I’m a dog without a bone.

I hear a solemn song,

I try to sing along.

As I sing with heart,

I spread my wings apart.

I fly faster than you ever knew,

I no longer feel so very blue.

I fly with a golden heart,

I fly with a silver soul,

I will never fall apart,

Can you guess my goal?

Though I sing for so long,

Can you even hear my song?

This is me, but I just don't belong.
