My Sight

Tue, 07/03/2018 - 11:38 -- Jodji

Seated in the back of the room

Head pounding, trying to refocus

Vision deteriorating

I was told my sight was incorrect

My view of the world was inaccurate

The world was clearer, brighter they said

Come, stand

Read what on the wall

Examine this lens

Here, now you can see exactness

In the world, on your face

I could see garbage on the sidewalk from 20 feet away

The 5 years old girl

Waiting for the school bus with fear in her eyes

The blemishes on my face

Trees, Butterfly, Squirrels

Hey, now you can see clearly
