The fireflies dance in unison tonight,
as the sun plays hide and seek with the peaks
One could not ask for a more perfect night.
A night made perfect by you,
who had come to join me one last time before the end of all.
Before destiny was met.

One last chance to bask in the freedom of the stars
One last chance to get a glimpse of that tantalizing thing called heaven.
It was then that I would have thanked the gods,
had I not felt so scorned by them.

"Chosen" as it was.
Chosen for what? I had to wonder.
To throw away all that was good for the sake of something 'greater'?
I had to wonder.

But for now, there was only you.
Only the warm glimmering memories we had dug up together as children
Only the frantic dreams we hasitly planned for
You are all there is to me,
and I never want to see you go.
This resolve is strengthen by a thousands sunsets
This resolve does not fear the veils of despair
The last hope for you and me, are placed on my shoulders.
You are all there is to me,
You are my resolve
