my own skin is foreign

Location

Sometimes i pretend to be someone famous
i wake up like them and dress like them,
i slip into their skin and it’s okay.

Monday i’ll do the dishes as David Bowie
Maybe on Tuesday i’ll be Winona Ryder
acting as Victoria with a psychotic boyfriend

Wednesday i am a famous comedian
Laughing away my fears with their words
but today i am myself

And i’m lost
in my own skin
so tomorrow i’ll be Emma Watson

I love this, particularly the tone. It's the dark humor and sarcasm that so effectively get the message across.
