My Only Reason To Love Words

Fourth grade is when I met him

Mr. Smith, my ELAR teacher

He didn't make words dim

He made them a fine feature

Incouraging me to write stories

To use my words to send a message

So lives weren't as boring

With words I can repair damage

Now I am a junior in high school

I still write stories of struggle and survival

The words with power cause my pages to be full

Stories help me fight stress, my rival.
