My Muse

Inspiration is a wonderful thing

A thing that can fly with gigantic wings

And once it takes flight who knows where it goes

Off to the sky, the earth, like the wind and sea it flows

But this Inspiration can be something more

More than take flight, more than can soar

It goes leaps and bounds above beyond

To become a special person of whom you are fond

This special person whom Inspiration transforms

Is my muse, My life, They are what reform

My sorrowful spirit or expand to great heights

My emotion and love. They give me light

My muse does no wrong but when it is gone

How can I live? how can I move on?

My creation is halted it refuses to fight

My condemned soul that is slaved to the night

That dark black night with no moon or stars

An endless abyss is what my muse leaves in my heart.

But this infernal pit of sadness and woe

Is but another tool that makes my muse grow

The love, the passion that comes when it's near

Only multiplies the ever dreaded fear

When my muse seems forever departed

Worlds away leaving me broken hearted

My muse is still there no matter the distance

They are in my mind, my soul, my very existance.

For my inspriation, my blessed and and glorious muse,

Can torture extinguish and abuse

But this only feed my pulsing mind

That spends all of its precious time

Thinking back on what I felt

What my muse did, what made my heart melt.

This is why my inspiration grows

When more of this dreaded mourning it knows

It is stopped for a moment but then it returns

Hungry and powerful it helps me to learn

Though my muse may seem gone I must continue to remember

For my muse only makes my small heart better

Whether filling my joy or drowning me in misery

Muse will always be there to inspire me.
