My Minnesota Cowboy

You always wore that cowboy hat

On top of your bald head

The only time you took it off

Is when you went to bed

Your favorite horse

Was a horse named Joe

Should have been lighting

For as fast as he could go!

When you were not with your family

You were doing the best you could

With work and other stuff

Coming home all full of grease and mud

Your hands were always rough

But they had to be

Because your soul was so tough

Your favorite pop was cherry coke

And you were easily provoked

Always wearing your broken in cowboy boots

And blaming the creaky floor for your toots

When I had a sliver, right to you is where Id go

Wanting something to do, you put me to work and let me mow

I loved anything to do as long as it was with you

It didnt matter you were the rubber to my glue

You used to tease me all the time

You were my partner in crime

Bucking broncos and long horned bulls

Something fun was tractor pulls

You loved going to auctions

At home youd dream up crazy concoctions

That old bobcat was your favorite toy

Grandpa John, To ME

You were the worlds BEST

MINNESOTA COWBOY
